How I Made 427 Sales in 48 Hours (And the Strategies Behind It)
You know that feeling when your intuition is telling you to jump, and you just know it’s the right time? That’s what happened.
So I jumped in, trusting the process. And I had to make quick moves, both strategically and technically, to ensure the sale launch went smoothly.
This time was slightly different, though. I was fully back in the driver’s seat after stepping away from the business operations for a while because of my health (more on that later👇🏻).
I didn’t wait for everything to be perfect. I started building a brand new sales site from scratch, setting up the funnel, and making sure everything was aligned with my vision. It wasn’t flawless, but it was real and raw, just like life.
By the end of the 48 hours, I woke up to hundreds of notifications. 427 people enrolled, and all I did was follow my gut and take fast, aligned action.
But like always… there were a few hiccups.
First, there was a problem with the Sales Page…
Initially, the sales page was built on a platform that only allowed single-cart checkouts (we’ve had a change of platforms and solutions we use for landing pages and memberships) Imagine wanting to buy multiple things, but having to check out one at a time. I would be very frustrated as a customer and I’d never buy!
💡Pro Tip: Always think of the customer journey, what they would feel when they come into your funnel, how many steps can you cut down to make things super easy for them.
The team completely missed this and I didn’t realize it until the evening before the sale launch. In the past, I might have let things slide and said “ah… just let it be” but this time, I decided to do this myself. Btw, one of my triggers is when someone tells me “it’s impossible” or “it can’t be done” then I go… “let me show you how it gets done”.
It was already evening and I also didn’t want the team to do overtime.
Since we couldn’t use the platform we had, we need a new sales site with a subdomain. Configuring DNS settings?! 🤯 I mean, that was painful. I haven’t done this for like 8 years now and so much as has changed. It was late. I was exhausted.
But I felt I owed it to my community to make sure that whatever we put out, they get the best experience.
That night, I stayed up, got the site done, and made sure it was perfect. The next evening, the sale went live. I went to bed. And I woke up hundreds of purchase notifications from Stripe.
I also Created a Funnel that converts 🎯
So if you noticed, for the last 10 years, we never really had any complicated funnels or ads. We kept it super simple and scaled the business to multiple millions organically. But now, I’m in the process of launching a new company (sooo excited to share soon 🤫) and I need to get 80-90% of our processes automated.
I’m also doing company-wide optimisation, the last quarter of the year, going into each area - legal, finance, marketing, sales, tech, creative, executive office, etc. - and doing all the process improvements, streamlining and automating.
We designed a funnel that worked effortlessly, but more importantly, it helped people feel connected at every step of the way. The best part? It ran hands-off while I slept, proving that scaling doesn’t mean losing the human touch.
This funnel wasn’t just about automating sales — it was about creating a deeper connection. And the results? Stunning. The funnel ran 99% hands-off and brought in hundreds of sales while I slept.
After the funnel was complete, it was time to post. I posted only ONE post. Nothing fancy. Just telling my community that we have 48 hours sales.
💡Pro Tip: Don’t compare yourself with others. What you see is here is 10 years of consistently showing up, serving our community from a place of deep care while setting strong boundaries, investing hundreds and thousands of $$$ into the business, and building a SOLID BRAND. And it takes time.
Now, before you think I’ve been on top of everything, lets get real for a bit because a lot has been going on behind the scenes, and stepping back from the business was necessary.
Why I Stepped Back and why i’m back now
As I said before, over the past few years, I’ve had to step back from the business in some ways — a lot more delegating. Being a solo mom while managing a fast-scaling company wasn’t easy. I had quite a traumatic birth journey but I didn’t have time to recover or heal emotionally because I needed to make sure that we (my son and I) are financially secure. So I had to push myself to keep everything running, and in the process, my health took a serious hit.
Yes the business scaled fast but the faster it scaled, the more I was got fatigued, emotionally drained, and struggled with brain fog. There were days I couldn’t even think clearly, let alone come up with ideas or lead the team. It all got worse when my hormones started going crazy. I had major inflammation in my body. I was experiencing sensory overload regularly.
I went to doctors after doctors only to be told that it was all in my head. I’ll share with you this story another time. So I decided to take my power back a few years back and get really serious about my health.
I started experimenting with different health protocols to find what works for me — working on my hormones, inflammation, and mental well-being. This was also when I realized that when I removed my energy from the business, the energy in the business started to get stagnant too 😫
Bit by bit, which felt like forever, I was getting better. First I was no longer getting sick constantly. Then I started losing weight. Then I started to have more energy. And now my brain 🧠 is braining 🤣 and I LOVE!
One of the biggest lessons I’ve learned as both a CEO and a solo mom is finding the balance between leading and letting go. And it’s tricky!
Balancing Delegation and Involvement
Here’s one of the biggest lessons I learned — sometimes, as CEOs, when we delegate so much, we’re not breathing that life-force energy into the business. But then if you get involved too much, you can stunt the growth of your team because you’re not giving them a chance to fail, fix things or lead themselves. But then when you don’t, you can’t scale.
Yeah, it’s quite tricky but it’s about finding that sweet spot.
Don’t get me wrong, my team is amazing. And when I fully step in, they always follow suit, always putting their 200% in. And I’m also learning where my strengths lie — leading but most importantly, injecting that life-force energy in the business. It’s not about micromanaging (I hate it and I never do it) but it’s about re-aligning everything with my vision.
💡Pro Tip: As a CEO and a visionary, you need to have a strong leadership of yourself as well as others. And if leadership is not your strong suit, you need to hire people who are better leaders so they can help scale your business.
Balancing Automation and Connection: The Key to Success
One of the things that’s really important for me is to be able to connect to my audience deeply. That’s what was mentioned on this Forbes article too.
One thing that stood out from this 48-hour flash sale was the balance between automation and connection. We built a powerful, automated funnel, but every touchpoint felt personal — because I actually created the whole funnel myself thinking of how I want my community to FEEL when they come and have a conversation with me in the DMs.
Side note: I have paid thousands of dollars $$$ to a company to build this funnel out for me in 2023. And it was a disaster! They are great at what they do but they don’t have the heart, the connection or the deep understanding of my community like we do. I also had a coach who used to tell me to outsource everything including raising my child 🤦♀️.
So one thing I’m super proud of myself and my team is the willingness to learn new things and figure it out.
And that’s the magic. It’s about scaling while still making people feel seen and heard. It’s about using tools to grow but never losing the human touch. When you strike that balance, everything flows effortlessly.
My takeaways
So here are my key takeaways:
If you’re in business, ALWAYS think of your customers. How do you want them to feel when they deal with you/your business? What journey do you want them to take?
We LOVE our community but that doesn’t mean they can walk all over us. We have very strong boundaries.
If you’re the owner of your business, you’re THE ONE who can breathe the life-force energy into your biz. That doesn’t mean you need to work 24/7 but it does require your energy from time to time.
Be willing to jump in and do all the things. Like creating the whole sales site or shouldn’t be my responsibility. But they missed it. Instead of waiting another few days to pull different people together to make this work, I made happen overnight. This shows leadership, and also that I don’t take no for an answer lol
Building a funnel also shouldn’t be my responsibility. I have a marketing team for this. You might wonder “If they don’t do what they’re hired for, what are they doing?”, I get it. But we have Project and BAU (business as usual). So I usually get involved in projects where we start and set things up. Once it’s all up and running, then I hand over to BAU.
Don’t be afraid to step back. Sometimes you need to slow down to speed things up.
Being an entrepreneur or a CEO is not easy. Especially as a woman in my opinion. Because there’s a part of me that wants to be soft, understanding and empathetic. But it doesn’t always get the job done. Sometimes, you need to be blunt and firm, and tap into the masculine part of you. And you need to be ok with that too.
So thank you for reading all the way here!
